The National Association of Engineers enters the DAO Logistic Green Label

We are pleased to announce that our invitation has found fertile ground and that from now on the decisions of the DAO Logistic Green Label will be able to count on the authoritative opinion of the Italian National Association of Engineers. Furthermore, the Steering Committee will benefit from the experience of its president, Eng. Alessio Toneguzzo, who declared: "the vision and objectives underlying this initiative not only reflect the ideals of sustainability and innovation that have always guided our work, but also offer a unique opportunity to actively contribute to the transformation of the sector ecological logistics.”

The association, given its national importance, received 10 GGL (Governance Green Label) tokens out of a total of 1,000. The number of tokens assigned varies depending on the size of the members: 1, 5 or 10. These tokens define the weight of the subject within the decision-making body which will have the task of establishing the "rules of the game" for this important tool support the sustainable transformation of logistics.

With great enthusiasm we announce that Eng. Alessio Toneguzzo has been appointed member of the DAO Steering Committee. He boasts proven experience in the technical and organizational sector in various engineering sectors. From 2017 to 2022 he was President of the Order of Engineers of the Province of Turin; he currently holds the position of President of the National Association of Engineers and President of the inspection body EURISP ITALIA. His participation in the Steering Committee will be an invaluable added value to achieve the objectives we have set ourselves.

Furthermore, the DAO extends the invitation to fellow engineers of the Association to actively participate in the advisory commissions:

  • Packaging
  • Warehousing
  • Compensation
  • Standard
  • Communication

We are convinced that their contribution will be of fundamental importance to define adequate and implementable standards, promote sustainable practices in the sector and effectively communicate the values and objectives of the DAO.
