Logistic Green Label Lite is the official prototype of the environmental certification system developed by the DAO Logistic Green Label, designed to guide the logistics world toward a more transparent, responsible, and low-impact future.
What is Logistic Green Label Lite?
It is a fully operational yet simplified version of the “Logistic Green Label” environmental labeling system, which allows you to:
- calculate the CO₂e emissions associated with each shipment,
- assess the environmental pressure linked to transport and logistics,
- offset these emissions in a verifiable and transparent way,
- obtain a certified digital label to apply to each shipped package.
This experimental phase makes it possible to test the proposed method in real-world conditions, collect actual data, and refine the model in view of the final version.
A label, a guarantee
Each shipment that meets the requirements receives a Logistic Green Label Lite including:
- the CO₂e emission level,
- the chosen offset project,
- a QR Code for public and transparent data verification.
The label becomes a true sustainability certificate, useful for companies, logistics operators, and consumers.
How does it work?
The process involves five simple steps:
- Collecting shipment data (weight, volume, transport modes, route segments).
- Calculating emissions using a standardized model based on the GLEC Framework.
- Selecting the offset project (Nature-Based Solutions, Hybrid, or Engineered).
- Generating the label with environmental data and certification code.
- Traceability via QR Code, linking to all emission and offset details.
